Maintaining waterfed poles

  • May 21, 2021
  • By OVA8media

Making sure your waterfed window cleaning pole is in tip-top condition is the most important thing you can do. Proper maintenance of your waterfed pole will ensure the longevity – and effectiveness – of your window cleaning equipment.

Here at OVA8, we have a step-by-step guide to help you make the most out of your waterfed pole.

  1. Carefully take the clamps off the pole (if you’re cleaning an OVA8 pole, then make sure the anti-spin clamps are removed) – don’t force the pole apart, gently ease it so no components become damaged
  2. Clean the poles with filtered water – no soap – and dry with a microfibre cloth
  3. While some waterfed poles may need electrical tape to stop poles from becoming damaged inside, or need to be sprayed with anti-friction products, here at OVA8, our ground-breaking carbon fibre poles need little of that – we deliver a quality product, guaranteed
  4. Dirt and grit are wearing agents on any pole, so make sure you clean your poles regularly
  5. Clean your brush heads and any other accessories using the same routine – soap and water will leave streaks and residue, so make sure you’re giving each component a good rinse down to eradicate any dirt

OVA8 offers a wide variety of durable, long-lasting accessories to enable you to make the most of your carbon-fibre pole. Pivot, swivel, and brush head adapters are all available to view on our website.

Here is a YouTube video to help demonstrate Pole Maintenance, enjoy!

We can not stress enough that all equipment needs some form of maintenance by users and owners. For a few minutes every week it will improve the productivity of your work. Not to mention save lots of money and give a good return on your investments.
