GROUND-BREAKING NEW WATER-FED TELESCOPIC POLE OVA8® READY TO REPLACE OUTDATED RIVALS IN WINDOW CLEANING INDUSTRY
Designs for the radical and innovative concept started in 2013, and Ova8®, the first-ever carbon fibre, anti-spin pole has not only increased productivity in window cleaning operatives but has dramatically reduced health and safety risks.
The team at Ova8® are committed to providing real solutions to problems within the window cleaning industry and tirelessly strived to create a revolutionary pole.
The two flat sides of the anti-rotational pole provide more stability, and subsequently, more control for the operative, assisting in reducing the ‘whipping effect’ that can be experienced by using other water-fed poles.
The world’s first oval carbon fibre pole shape is down to the ground-breaking shaped clamps, which were created to mimic the shape of the pole itself and are also packed with new innovative engineering.
Founder Richard Everingham spent years finetuning the design in an effort to radically overhaul the troublesome clamping system seen on more traditional poles.
“The answer was not redesigning the round clamping system, which so many leading brands are and had previously been doing wrong,” he explained, noting that all of the Ova8® products, including the adaptors and accessories, have elements of anti-spin technology.
The two flat sides on the trademarked Ova8® design allow operators to hold the pole more comfortably, and with less of a hardened aggressive grip, therefore reducing the hand stress on the user. The ergonomically friendly pole, which was designed with the help of mechanical engineers, allows the operative to easily control the pole, either by pushing it up and down or from holding the base section to move the pole to the next window.
Ova8® poles were launched in January 2018, and immediately began distributing in the U.K. and Europe, and the team has worked hard to extend their distribution network to Oceania and North America.
And just eight months after launching, Ova8® was a finalist at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2018, nominated for Technological Innovation of the Year.
And the future looks blindingly bright for the Ova8® team, who are fully committed to providing all window cleaning operatives in the U.K. – and across the world – with improved, and longer life, innovative products.
“We have an overwhelming amount of new designs planned for the next few years, and we will be introducing new pole systems and accessories as quickly as possible,” Richard stated.
